Some of you may, and some may not be aware that your personal profile has blocked the ability to send an email to you (I discovered this by accident). If you want to allow an email to be sent to you, then send a message to Al and tell him so, so that he can make the change. Otherwise, we have to rely on private messages--------------------------and personally, I usually do not readily notice that there is a PM waiting for me to look at!!!!!!!!!!! I've missed some of the PMs for me just because I didn't see the notice!

Members can do that theirselfs, click User CP, edit email and password to be sure they have a valid email address. Click User CP, edit optons, make sure "Receive Email from Other Members" box is checked under
Messaging & Notification

Your "Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up" must be unchecked under Messaging & Notification.

To add to what Tom has mentioned...

Anyone can change the option of having an email address availible to other members.
Under "EDIT OPTIONS", in the Messaging & Notifications section, select (check box) "Receive email from other members".
Also in that same heading, be sure to check both "Receive email notification of Private message" AND "Show Private Message Popup".

You'll never miss another PM and members will be able to email you directly. :thumbsup:

Tom, the reason I block emails from the site is to help protect against spammers. Usually if someone will PM me I will reply back with my email address, but I don't want it out there where anyone can click on the profile & get it. That is why I didn't post any of the I-40 convoy info on the site, the only ones who need it are the ones I will send it to.
Probably a little paranoid, but that's the way I am. ;)

Be sure and check your time zone too, half of all problems with the forums come because the time zone is set wrong and then your computer and the server get mixed up about what to show you.
