This is going to be last visit to Chevelles.com for a while. Possibly for a year. The Army is sending me to Korea and I dont know if I'll have internet access.

I just wanted to say thank you to Al, and to everyone that has participated in this site. I have learned more and had more fun than I thought possible.

I will miss this.

Well I guess Korea really has entered the 20th century. When I was here 12 years ago running water was a luxury. Now we have the internet. It's good to be back online.

You guys are making me feel patriotic, thanks. You probably have folks living next to you that served in the armed forces, if thier service is appreciated, let them know.

Thanks

Clark,

Glad to know that someone is even more to the east... http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Do they drive on the right side of the road or have picked up some "nassty habitses" from Jap/Aus etc??

Any US iron?

BTW, running water might still be a luxury in N-Korea...

Stay away from those "juice" girls...ya know the ones, they come sit on your lap and ask you to buy them a drinky...Which is mostly ice and orange juice and costs you about $8...That's what I've heard anyway...ahem...Enjoy the food and the shopping! Get yourself a tailored suit or two! Man, I kinda miss the place...Ah and one final thing Soju in moderation always.

God Speed Clark and Happy Holidays!

Clark,
Good luck I know the remote feeling, but it is a good to get it out of the way while you can. When I did my remote in '89, I was single and saved a lot of money, bought my third Elky. Partied hard too.
The USO or Comm. Clubs/Rec Centers should have computers to use. They did when I was in there TDY (TAD for Army) in '95.

Take a journal and write down all of your adventures, be they good or bad. Fifty years from now you'll have something to pass along to a grandchild, or something to suppliment your memories. Your trip to Korea is an opportunity few have in life! Make the most of it. See ya here in a year, if not sooner.
