I went in the garage today and found that a spray paint can had "exploded" and leaked the contents all over the right rear of my car... It has left a very, very sticky and gooey mess on my paint. It doesn't appear to have damaged the paint at all underneath, but this stuff looks like it will be quite difficult to get off. Most of it has not dried... Is there a solvent that I could use to make this easier to remove that wouldn't harm the paint? The paint is 12 year old Deltron. The spray paint is an hardware store brand of black enamel. Any ideas? graemlins/angry.gif

Thanks!

If the Deltron was catylized when it was applied, then you can use lacquer thinner to remove the rattle can stuff. If you aren't sure, start with mineral spirits and progress to the stronger solvents.

Thanks vettefella! Mineral spirits didn't quite cut it, but laquer thinner is working great.
