Sometimes I don't know why people do what they do. My car got "keyed" this weekend. Some jerk put a 3 foot long scratch on my driver's side quarter panel. Scratched right down to the primer. I just noticed it tonight when I went into the garage...must have happened on Friday night when I was going to a car show as a spectator. I'm so ticked off I know I won't be able to sleep tonight thinking about it...my wife's asleep already so I can't vent to her...Sorry to vent to you guys. Anyone have an idea what it would cost to paint and properly blend the quarter panel? The paint (original) and metal is in great shape aside from the scratch. I haven't posted in a while but everytime I have you guys have helped me. Thanks for listening.

You didn't say what kind of car it was that got keyed....

If it was a 1969 and it still has the original paint, you may be lucky. The original acrylic lacquer is probably the easiest to repair/blend of any paint type. You may not be so lucky if lacquer is no longer legal for use in New York.

I won't hazard a guess as to cost since I'm not familiar with labor rates in your area.
