A Harley rider is comin home after along ride in the dessert, when his bike breaks down. He’s near town and has enough speed to coast into the local Harley Dealership. After a brief inspection, the Harley mechanic tells him that he will have to leave his bike overnight. The rider takes it in stride, and since he is close to his home, which happens to be on a farm, he decides to walk home.
As he walks along, he comes across Jakes Hardware store and remembering he needs a few things, goes in. He picks up a bucket for horse feed and an anvil for shoe repair, pays Jake and heads out the door with the bucket in one hand and the anvil in the other. He continues down the road and comes across Neds Livestock and Feed. Remembering his chickens haven’t been producing lately, he goes in and purchases two chickens and a goose. After paying Ned, he is standing there wondering how he is going to get all this stuff home, and Ned says, ‘You could put the anvil in the bucket and carry it with one hand, grab the goose with the other, and put one chicken under each of your arms.’ So, the rider heads off down the street with his goods.
Soon, an elderly lady maybe 80 or so stops him and asks ‘Do you know how to get to 1603 Mockingbird Lane?’ The rider replies ‘Well mam, I live at 1616 Mockingbird Lane and just happen to be on my way home. I know a short cut down this ally. Why don’t you come with me and I’ll show you where it is.’ The little ole lady looks at him and says ‘ Well, I’m old and frail, and no longer have my husband to protect me, how do I know you won’t hold me against the wall, hike up my skirt and have your way with me?. The rider chuckles and says, ‘Mam, I have a bucket with an anvil in it in one hand, a goose in the other, and a chicken under each arm. How could I possibly do that? The ole lady says, ‘Well you could put the goose down, cover it with the bucket, put the anvil on top of the bucket, and I’ll hold the chickens.’
