I purchased a complete set of new stainless steel intake and exhaust valves off of ebay. I think I got a good deal. They came today UPS. My question is, during inspection what should I watch for? The guy I bought them from is an engine builder, He gave me a money back guarantee. Any advice?

Part #'s on the valves are:

Intake:P2562jf

Exhaust:P2692-HPC

I purchased them for $108.00 for full set of 16 w/ keepers.

Kyle,
Nothing special, I can buy those valves in bulk for about $5 each. They are probably PEP valves, but a lot of companies use the same part numbers. They are ok for mild performance use. Might not be a bad idea to have them faced up in a good valve facer, about half the time they need it. I reface almost every new valve I get.

I have heard through the grapevine that Most valves are made in the same factories. Is that true or someone pulling my leg? So, I guess I didnt get as good of a deal as I thought.. Oh well, they are here now and if my machinist checks off on them, Ill use them. These are going in my 450 hp 454, will they be ok? Im having my 781's gone through so Im sure they will do a complete valve grind.
