: 70' hard top or sport couple what's the difference

not meaning to sound stupid but what is my 70 model i see the hard top version and sport coupe is the HT just without the vynal top and the Sport has it or what??

The hard top and sport coupe are basicly the same thing , only GM called the 2dr hardtop a sport coupe on the Chevelle. Although ther is a difference between the 2dr hard top and the 2dr sedan, the sedan has a post between the door and quarter glass, where the hardtop doesn't.
So your car would be considered a 2dr hard top and a 2dr sport coupe. Both would be correct.

Hey, did they actually make 70 2-doors with posts above the doors? I've never seen or heard of one, although I've seen a couple 4-doors with posts. Have any of you seen a 70-72 2-door with posts?

I saw one on a guys 68 velle that i went to go part out and he had posts
