Need to pull the front clip off my 67 convertible to get the rockers welded (Hope to do the frt suspension while its off). What is the best way to begin. I would prefer keeping it in one piece (or as few as possible), so what bolts need removed? Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks

Remove front bumper. Remove the two core support to frame bolts. Remove the two bolts at the cowl/firewall at the rear of each fender under the hood behind the hood hinges. Remove one bolt at the top rear of each fender where it bolts to the windshield pillar. Remove the two bolts on the bottom of each fender where they bolt to the front of the rocker panels.
Disconnect the front wiring harness at the firewall. Disconnect the ground strap from the fender well to the frame. Disconnect the ground wire from the negative battery cable to the rt frt fender. Disconnect underhood light if you have one.
If you don't have at least two other people to help you lift off the clip, you may want to remove the hood first.
Ok nitpickers, what did I forget? http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

I think that there are also fender mounting bolts up by the top front of the doors that are only visible with the doors open.
You might want to pull the radiator or at least disconnect the hoses and trans cooler lines (on an automatic) too.
Also, I'd remove the battery and store it under the work bench.
