Hey all, I don't have a Chevelle (although I wouldn't mind having one! I almost did get a '69 SS). I am just visiting from the Camaros.net site and had a question on some fiberglass.

I searched around and saw that this company was mentioned in some posts, but nobody said whether they had any experience with their stuff. The place is www.showcars-bodyparts.com (http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com) They have a huge inventory of parts and I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about their quality. Any good or bad experiences? Thanks.

Hello;

I know someone who delt with a guy from this place. He put down $100 for a pair of excellent condition GTO fenders without seeing anything. The guy kept saying he didn't have them and didn't have them at first. And then when the guy did get them and this person went to pick them up the fender bottoms were rusted and they had surface rust and dints. Nothing serious but not excellent condition by any means. I think the total was $400 and it was either pay $300 or lose the $100. His place was also a bunch of old barns and chicken coops with the stuff just packed into them.

I had questioned him about some parts before I heard this story and he told me they would be a bolt on and paint pieces. I didn't believe him after hearing that story so I never delt with him. He also immediately claimed he could get some harder to find stuff, such as a new convertible top header for my 65 Impala.

This guy had a bunch of body parts and handed out Showcar Bodyparts fliers at the Barrie flea market. That's where I got his name. I believe this place may be a group of independant dealers that share their parts so maybe it depends on who you get a hold of.

Thanks Peter,

I like the selection, but was curious as to the quality. I was thinking I might try to get up there and have a look at their facility if I get the chance. Long trip though...
