Ok checked all the bores for roundness and taper today. checked the deck to see if they had been milled straight. everything speced out. still since it was bored with a tourqe plate kind of hard to know what it all means when you measure without one. my only question is the crank journel clearance. came out to .0018. all except the number 5 cap which was about .0030. now while that is all in chevy BB spec all the hot rod guys say .002-.003 for the mains in a high reving motor. am i to tight ? i plan on breaking the engine in not just heading to the nearest track and dropping the hammer so they should work ehh? any how tourged in the crank , bagged the motor and stuck it in the corner. getting ready to take my road trip and won't get to it for about a month.
