The area around the winsheild of my kids 67 elky is rusted all the way around just about. Does anyone know if I could use the whole dash, top window area, and sides from a 2 or 4 door. Is the geomitry the same. I found one of each for $50. Thanks, Cal

Not sure about the 4 door, but the 2 door should be the same.

The El Camino shares the same windshield with 2 door sedan, all four doors, and the station wagon. The windshield for the 2 door hardtop and convertible is different. So I would say that the geometry of the El Camino would be the same on a 2 door sedan, any 4 door, or station wagon.

I had to replace the dash on my '66 Elky and used a dash from a '66 Chevelle four door.Worked perfectly.

Thanks for the replies guys. I really didn't think anyone could help with this one. But as usual, "Team Chevelle" pulls through. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif I know I could bend and weld up the straight peices, but it's the corners that has me worried. For $50 I think I can make less welds, and my life much easier.

Now for the next silly question. What's the differance between the 2 door sedan and hard top. TRhanks, Cal

A 2 door sedan is what we commonly call a "2 door post" car. It has the window frame made onto the door, like a 300 deluxe. The hard top has no window frame on the door, like a Malibu.
There were a few 4 door hard tops sold, but they're not many left now.

DanD, I think I must of had a brain fart or something. I should of known that. But then again, I'm an Elky guy. Not many hard top Elkys runing around. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif Thanks for filling me in, Cal

The dash forward is "Same-O-Same-O" on all two and four door, Chevelle and Elcaminos in '67
