I am wanting to have my truck repainted. Are there any brands of paint I should avoid?

Honestly, not really as far as I am concerned. Every brand, even the cheapies, will do a decent job. It depends on what you want out of it. Obviously the PPG or DuPont top of the line is going to be "better" than a low priced brand X.

Omni, stay away from Omni. Unless you are shooting a light color and you prime the car a similar color to the paint.

Thanks. I thought maybe there were because I had an old truck of mine painted a few years ago and within a 1 1/2 the paint on the hood and roof began to fade and craze. At first I thought it had a cheapo paint used but now I think it was because the paint shop didn't sand off the old dead paint underneath that had already faded.

http://www.smartshoppersinc.com/kirker/kirker1.html click on this site they offer a package deal. it is a cheaper paint but even the most expensive paint not done well will look cheap. good product to build your confidence. look for the package deal and choose a color from there color chart. goodluck
