Thank-you...I have a fiberglass hood with a hole cut in it now. What I want to do is modify it, incorporating the 69 SS dual cowl hood, raising it 4" and mold it right to the existing fiberglass hood, covering up the hole. That way it will still be stock appearing, but with a raised cowl. I figure that it will give me something to play around with this winter. I hope I can make it work.

BowtieAaron Jul 16th, 05, 10:29 AM that is so nice. ill trade you 2 350's for that engine. one is built with 600 miles on it, and the other runs, but is ok, and getting tired.
makes me want to put a BB in my new truck now.

Harold Sutton Jul 16th, 05, 10:53 AM First off, that is a really pretty '69 SS. I have an acquaintance that used to have an old '55 Chevy with a fat block and a M/T cross ram that looked exactly like yours on it. Great paint, what color is it?
ratuned Jul 16th, 05, 11:04 AM i always thought it might look cool to use a 2" stock looking cowl type hood with a box molded to the underside like a stock cross ram. even using one of the cross ram repo air cleaners. i guess the only problem would be would the air cleaners fit. either way it looks freakin awesome!!!!! can't wait to see how it runs. mike

Thank you....A 55 was where I first saw one in person and he was running it on propane. I thought it looked too cool, so many yrs later I had a chance to buy one and look where it got me... The color is a 1997 GM Cherry Red bc/cc .
Gazzer Jul 16th, 05, 3:29 PM Very Nice Indeed !!
