Need a little help guys , did not do a good job of "bag and tag" ....... re installing side glass and track mechnanism in body last nite ......... had 2 left over partial U shaped clips black plastic coated with screw hole in flat area ......... where do they go ?.....I think they might go on the stainless track / weatherstrip that the side glass fits into at roofline but where?
Also do not have ( lost) the 2 bolts that go thru the vent window chrome frame from top into door right at the base of A pillar ....... what do they look like ?? apear to be a bolt since door seems to have threads in the hole but hole in vent frame is countersunk ??
One more dumb question ....... long screw that goes through top of door below vent window to secure vent frame to door is the head chrome? , painted or ? Reason I ask is the Interior Screw Kit I bot this screw is cad plated, is that correct ?

It's a shot in the dark but...could they be the window stops that bolt onto the window mechanism to keep the windows from going down too far

These bolts, they go thought the door (sheet metal, and then into the vent window chrome/pot-metal, correct? Mine were chrome plated (I think), with a standard hex head, and I don't recall any markings (about 7/16 or 1/2" head), and I recall have one of those clear nylon washers (but its been about 10 years since I did those)...
Is the counter sink deep, or maybe just a shallow chamfer to prevent pulling threads? I know one of mine stripped out...
pictures of that "U" clip would be helpful...
Now you have me worried... My car has been partially disassembled for 20 years... Doh! what fun I will have...

The u shaped clips sound like the clips that go under the window channel that holds the wheatherstrip that the windows seal against at the top. If so these are the clips that hold the chrome trim along the edge of the headliner.

Without a photo, it's just a guess but I'm guessing they are window stops. Mounting location is in the assembly manual....I think.

Tony not those 2 bolts with integral washers and plastic washers those go thru the door into the vent frame in the top front of door but the bolt that goes thru the vent frame first then into the door from the top
RE Clips ..........Yes I will post pic's when I get to my home PC and also check the assembly manual again also have 66 Body by Fisher manual
