Just a couple of quick photos..my buddy had a set of Hooker headers that came with his car..the ceramic coating was really pitting and flaking off, and there was surface rust on the areas where it had come off. Jet hot wanted $300 to re-coat them, and he wanted to save some $$.

I bead blasted them (glass bead)..that ceramic coating is a real pain in the A**! to get off..it took hours. Anyway, they came up looking good. Next we got some of Eastwoods hi temp header paint (this was the aluminum color version). Two coats and they looked pretty darn good for $30 or whatever it cost. We havent run the car yet, so hopefully it holds up.

i havn't used the eastwood paint, but i used the POR20 high temp exhaustpaint on my hooker headers.
paint will be fairly soft until u fire it for the first time. once fired, it bakes the paint on. mine look great but only time will tell on the durability.

i'm like you, i figured $25 for the POR and if it doesn't work, i'l fork out the money for ceramic coating.
