I just had my car painted awhile back, with an acrylic enamel job and it looked great.
Today, I came out of work and a pair of doves were sitting on a beam, above my car, dropping do do on it and stained the paint.
I rushed home and washed, polished and waxed the car but you can still see stains in the paint. Does anything work, in taking out the stains without hurting car paint from bird droppings?
Help..

You always want to try the least aggressive method first. Some times problems can be fixed with a simple wash job and some polishing. When that doesnt fix the problem you need to step up to a more aggresive method which would be wet sanding and buffing. Since you are not tring to remove orange peel just a light stain you should start off with 2000 grit. When you sanded enough you need to bring back the shine with a compound, but use a rubbing compound not a cutting compound. A cutting compound is for cutting severely damaged paint, not a fresh paint job. Once done with the compound you need to use a machine glaze which will remove any swirl marks left by the compound and deepen the shine

My clear coat is 3 years old now and still looks great. problem is, when I color sanded the car there were spots that caused some scratches in the paint. Clear coat will not fix this. What I would like to do is try and wet sand these marks out. I know I will go through the clear coat in places. If I re-clearcoat the whole car, will these places show up on the new clear coat.
Thankx
