Hello i've got 69 chevelle that had a wiper motor freak out . after looking at it I found that the plug with 3 positions on it i'm thinking this is the hi low speed relay anyway mine is junk . the best way too describe it is that it has3 wires going into it that also go up too the washer pump on the other end it has 3 terminals with a small bar that probably makes the wipers change speeds.. I hope someone knows what i'm talking about and can help me replace this.. thanks

Before you start ripping the connector apart, It sounds like you are describing a condition which many 69 owners experience. Get behind the dash, and check to make sure the ground strap is still in place at the switch itself, many people throughout the years when changing switches etc, discard the shared ground strap between the wiper and light switches. This switch supplies ground to both of these switches and a wire runs from it to the back of the instrument cluster. Without it sometimes the system will work for years without it acting up, and then bamm........the condition you are experiencing. If this is still in place we can then continue to troubleshoot your problem. jason.

what he said...
My ground was loose and I replaced the motor twice and 3 switches before finding the problem
My wipers would try to run a few inches after I turned them off, only way to make them stop spazzing out was to kill the car and restart it. That and I only had 1 speed working.
