Going to buy a Lokar throttle cable (most likely) for my 70 which has a 396 with an a new Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and 750 Performer carb. The original cable is starting to look pretty mangy and figured this would be a good time to change it out. The original cable is probably about 2" too long with the new carb and intake, so my question is should I buy a 24" or 36" universal cable. I know if I get the 36" I'll probably have to cut alot off, but would the 24" be too short? Also, do the sleeve and cable come together, or just the sleeve itself? Any input would be great, thanks.

I recently put a lokar throttle cable on my 70 396. I have a performer RPM intake and Holley 770 Avenger carb, with a CSR throttle bracket. I bought the Lokar cable LOK-TC-1000H which I think ( can't remember) is the 24 inch cable. I used the stock pedal and had to cut 13 inches off the cable and sheathing.Hope this helps.
