I only have a small 3 hp 20 gallon craftsman compressor. is there a decent inexpensive gun I can use to spray small items? I currently have 1 new goodmark inner fender and a used chevrolet inner fender that I'm gonna strip. this will be the biggest items I will paint. i'm completely new to this. thanx mike
How about a brush and a quart of POR-15?
Best thing since sliced bread for any metal that will see the underside/engine compartment.
A HVLP gun from Tractor supply is ~$50, and I have had decent results. Course, I have a 80 gallon, 5 HP Compressor.

Do yourself a favor and buy a gravity feed gun, I grew up with the siphon feed type and it took awhile for me to convert but I'd never go back. Also don't buy an hvlp model-----your compressor will not supply the volume of air needed for good atomization. A metal cup is also best as the plasic type shrink with age and use. Another nice feature to the gravity type is you can dial them down easier for small parts and you can also load minute amounts of material to be sprayed. Have fun but use proper caution when handling and spraying, I'm sure my lifespan has been cut short as a result of exposure to these chemicals. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
