Okay, after months of theoretical this and can I try that, and I wish I could the other thing - I am actually cutting and welding.

Okay, Okay - so its just the radiator support - but it is a learning tool.

I have 2 options, and let me see if I can describe w/o pics (will post if no one can figure out what I am talking about)

My original support has 2 rusted holes on the radiator side, only the back peice of metal, and only the lower triangulated ares.

Mr. Tom Hill donated a primo support to my effort - with the exception of the drivers side fram mount has been cut off.

Should i
1. Cut frame mount off of my support, and patch the good donated peice
or
2. I have already cut the back section of rusted crap off of the back - evenly with the mounts, I could cut this off of the donor peice and weld it on (since it is mostly cosmetic.

What do you guys think??

I would swap the mount. Sounds easier to me.

guess I should clarify, the mount was cut off with the backing metal attached. I would have to match the origional cut to make the support align correctly. That kinda created the dilemma ...
