I would like to run on the back of the car 17x11 with the 305 tire. I will have 4 wheel baer brakes and the edelbrock upper and lower arms. Right now the car has the factory 10 bolt, but will later be changing it to a 12 bolt. On the front, I would like to run a 17x9 with a 275 tire. I have looked all over this forum for information, but can't find exactly what I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott

Both wheel & tire combos will fit your 68,with the right wheel backspacing.
You will need around 5.5" on the 17x9's and 6.25" on the 17x11's.

Where did you find a 305X17? I ran 315's and they rubbed. I would love a 295 or even a 305 STREET tire.

Oh, have to be 35's or 40's though.

Thanks everyone for the reply, but I did not know that noone made a 305 x 40 or 35x17 tire. So, a 295x40 or 35 what you would recommend on a 11" wheel or is this why most people go with a 91/2 on the back?

Thanks,
Scott

No 295 either (unless you go to a slick). you can run anything form a 275 all the way to a 335 on an 11" wheel. 315 is the preferred size but is a tight fit in the wheel well.
