Hey, I'm trying to install my new carpet in the chevelle. I've never done a carpet before and there arn't any instructions with it, so i was just wondering how you guys go about doing it. Any tips? And are you suppose to have to trim them or what? thanks a lot

1st thing to do is let it set in the sun for awhile. Helps get rid of wrinkles. The only place I had to trim mine was on the door sills.

Well, if you bought pre- formed carpet it is pretty easy. If you did, take all the seats out and put it in. Don't forget the sound deadener.

Pre-formed carpets are pretty easy to install. I also only had to trim the sill plate area. Even with the preformed stuff, it's still not a bad idea to let it sit out in the sun. They do get a few wringles (mine were more like seams) from being folded up and stored in a box for who knows how long.

You don't need to take the buckets out if you are looking to put the carpet in the "factory correct" way. Cut T-slots in the carpet and roll it under the front seats. ;Do a search for "correct carpet installation" for the better explanation...
