i have a '66 el camino, and its been so long since the old bed rails were on i dont remember how the clips line up or what pieces need to go on in what order. thanks for any help, chris

Chris,

I just took mine off of my 72. Here's how I would put them back on (I don't know if your 66 would be the same).

1. Front Corners
2. Front rail
3. side rails
4. rear corners
5. tail gate rail

Obviously the tail gate rail is not dependent on any of the other rails.

Chris,
the back cab moldings must be on, your bed rails have 4 clips a side.
It then slips over the end of the cab molding and (I use a 12 in piece of 2x4) to push down on the bed rail molding starting at the from and working back.Last insert the rear corner molding into the end of the bed rail and tighten down, by gaining access through the side of rear bed access panels.
