I just had my front control arms replaced on my chevelle and then all of a sudden the spacers started popping out. I talked to one of my buddies dad, who is big into muscle cars, and he thought that this could happen if the chassis was bent/twisted. Does this sound possible to anyone? and if so how would I go about checking to see if the chassis is messed up? I really never got into any of that so any help would be great. As far as I know and from what i see the car has never been a drag car, so i guess if would have had to happen from an accident. I'm just kind of doubting this though because most old cars are as solid as a rock. Once again any help would be great......thanks a lot.

For Gods sake don't let someone scare you like that. Think about it, before bushings were replaced no problem, now the "spacers" (I assume you are refering to the alignment shims) are falling out. Work done=problem. The studs may have gotten loose in the frame so they can't be properly tightened or the guy who did the bushings simply didn't tighten the nuts! My bet is on the later.

Agreed. "Operator error" seems to account for 95% of all problems.
