When they list lift on a cam in a book like jegs, is it lift at the cam ot at the valve they list?

Basicly i just got a bb for my elky and i want to know what is in it do i mesure at the puch rod side od the rocker or the valve end?

Thanks.

At the valve!

Generally they will say at the lobe if it is measured there and that you have to multiply it by your rocker ratio to get the valave lift.

And don't forget to subtract lash if you are considering a solid cam to arrive at net lift. (Solid cam gross lift doesn't have lash subtracted from it)...

Advertised lift figures include the stock rocker ratio spec for that application. Cam specs on a cam card will list both. For example, if Jeg's says that a sb cam has .500 lift, that cam's lobe is .3333
