What paint is available in a spray can that would most closely match the factory appearance for a 5 spoke sport wheel for a 69 Chevelle SS? Especially, who sells chrome paint that looks like real chrome? I tried some department store chrome paint, but it couldn't compare with the factory paint, which looks so close to chrome, I thought it was.

It's called SS Wheel Insert Gray, and it's available from Ground Up, Year One, Southwest Classic, etc...

Just so you know the 69 SS wheels are Argent Silver with Dark Charcoal Grey in the insert area. That is if you want them correct. You can use black on the insert area, I have seen them done this way also but it is not originally supposed to be black.

On the issue of Chrome paint. The best I've come across so far is Krylon "Original Chrome". It's in a narrow 8oz can, UP number 724604010104, Part #1010 (on front of of can next to weight).

Thanks

Francis
