Found these guys on the net while looking for repro fenders for our '69. They have repro's for $299. That's a lot better price than the $400+ for GM pieces. On my budget every little bit helps. I figure only one fender really needs to be totally replaced, the pass. side can be done with just a patch panel. If anyone knows the quality of The Parts Place please let me know. Or if there is another place out there for repro front fenders I would love to know.

The Parts Place is only about 10 miles from my home. I've done business with them before, and they're OK. I have no idea about the quality of their sheet metal, though, as I've never had occasion to buy any of it.

I bought both of my quarters and wheelhouses from them. As far as quality goes both of mine were GM quarters, this was back when they were still in decent supply. But beware of the fact that you get what you pay for when it comes to sheetmetal. You may regret saving the money on the parts becasue you iwll probably make up for it in aggrivation or in tmie spent trying to get it to fit.

I can't imagine why you would by repo. metal when you can still get a GM fender at a resonable price. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money and buy the GM stuff, you will be happy in the end. Most repo sheetmetal is junk, and you will spend more time and money trying to make it fit.

70SS, what do you consider a reasonable price? $430 for a GM fender is not what I consider reasonable. I am on a macaroni and cheese budget here. I wish I would have bought a 70-72 now after seeing what 68-69 parts prices are. If you know of a source for new GM fenders for a 69 at less than $400 ea. please let me know. After 2 yrs of looking I haven't found one.

I bought a pair of new goodmarkd fenders for my 70 chevelle. The fit was way better then the OEM fenders that I took of. I got a much tighter gap, lines matched up to door and fender ext and fit the hood great. I did no reworking or tweaking of my "JUNK" fenders, just bolted them down.
Caspr 430 for a GM fender is cheap, a goodmark will run 300 plus shipping.
As for the parts place just make sure you are getting a goodmark panel if you decide to buy a repo there is a difference, been there before trust me...Eric
