Almost all the paints out now have a top of the line system.Find out who has what near you.Personally I like Glasorit and Standox.Try and find a system that uses the same hardeners and reducers, saves you money and much easier to use.If you are painting in your garage get the air dry clears, not the bake clears.
3 to 4 coats of base depending on color and how well it hides.
Most clears they recomend 2 coats, but you wetsand and buff 1 off.Wouldn't go more than 4.
A gallon will do the outside, at least a gallon an 1/2 to do jambs and underhood and trunk. You don't want to run out of paint in the middle of the job!!!
If this is your first paint job you might consider using cheaper paint or finding someone to help.Top of the line paint is VERY expensive. Mike
