I know all the cam companies state you need to replace the lifters and timing chain when installing a new cam, but I have a question about that. If the motor has only around 2000 to 2500 miles on it, is it still neccessary? Motor is a zz4 undergoing a cam swap. Pulling out the stock cam for a lunati roller cam.

Just a little bit of insurance, not necessary though. You are changing the valve springs to the ones recommended by Lunati....right ??

yes, I'm changing the springs. I probably will just get a kit for the cam. Just trying to save a few bucks since I have very few miles on it.
