Well Im looking for a 66 Chevelle 2" cowl hood. Goodmark makes one, but its currently out of stock. So should I just cut my plain original hood and make a cowl hood? Is there any value to these, or demand???

That's going to be a heck of a lot of work installing a cowl scoop to your original hood. You'd be much farther ahead time and dollars wise if you could sell off the original hood and find an aftermarket cowl hood. Try ebay?
