After sanding down the remaining part of my passenger quarter panel, I found what appeared to be a small rust hole was in fact a much bigger rust hole concealed with bondo.

Sorry if those links aren't live, I'm still trying to figure this stuff out. Other than that the quarter is clean. My question is, do you think I can get away with a patch or am I going to have to replace the entire qp?

I'd say It's patchable ,you'll have to get a lower patch panel & a fender lip patch and only use what you need of the lip patch.

Also check the inner panels. You can patch both the quarter and the inner panels, but you'll probably have to make the inner patch from scrap sheetmetal b/c I don't believe anything but the entire inner wheelhouse is available. It's all doable.

Good to hear, I'm not too worried about the inside of the quarter so fabbing something myself isn't a big deal. It's just good to hear I don't have to throw down $3,000 to have a new qt panel welded on.

Keep the opinions coming...

I would clean that area up and just purchase a patch panel. Something to keep in mind is try to not completely cut the panel away at the bottom so you don't lose the orginal body line. I ran into trouble with that on my drivers side. I had to spend some time working the area. I am not totaly happy with the results. I don't have a show car but it bugs me cause I know its there.
