: Rotisserie ?

I am in the process of building a rotisserie. With a 2 door coupe can I support the body just by the front and rear mounting spots? It looks like the front will be fine, but would it be better in the back to mount in 4 spots (2 back mounts)? Also, does anyone have an approximate distance up from the front and rear mounts to the center of gravity? It would be easier to make non adjustable.
For every item I cross off the to-do list I seem to add 2 or 3. At what point in the process do you finally see the end?

I have been interested in building one of these also for an upcoming 69 SS resto project. Any chance you have a drawing of this device and details about building it?

Here's a link to some "basic" plans for a body rotisserie. If I was going to build this (almost did a couple months ago) I would substitute trailer hitch stock for the regular tubing.

Here is the Super Chevy webpage with the Goodmark Chevelle up on a rotisserie. You should be able to get a good idea of where the center needs to be.

You may be able to tell from my pics where you need to attach it. Four point in the back and four in the front for mine. I need to update my pics its come along way since then. Mine swings freely and can be turned with one hand it almost perfect.

Robert. You can read some information on my rotisserie at http://www.si.hhs.nl/~rob/rotisserie.html

My front frame was attached to the 2 body mounting holes on the front (distance to center point 328 mm.). My rear frame was attached to the 2 body mount holes behind the rear wheels (distance to center 273 mm.), as well as to the last 2 body mount holes in the rear (distance to center 178 mm.)

Hope this helps.
