Okay - so I can't figure this out. We got the universal 18-circuit wiring harness and are having trouble from the start. It came with a a bracket of sorts that seems to line up with the bolts on the back of the fuse block, but nowhere does it say to intall this bracket. Does it just bolt to the firewall and then the fuse block bolts to it? So, we should just drill holes through the firewall to mount both pieces? I am asking because my husband and I are getting nowhere just looking at it : - )
Thanks so much.

I used a Painless kit for my car and the bracket stayed in the box that it came in. ;)

Only thing that I used the bracket for was a template to dril new holes for it in the firewall. I installed mine in the same location as the stock. I did put a small plate up to cover the stock bulkhead hole and drilled a hole the same size as the biggest grommet in the kit. And one suggestion I have to make if you are just starting. The painless kit is pre-grouped. I found myself having to take off all of their wire ties, as there were wires I needed out of several different sections. I laid mine out and regrouped as I needed or grouped ones I didn't.

Thank you both so much. I'm sure I'll have more questions later : - )
