if it is truely a crack and not where the roof meets the pillar. drill a hole atthe end of the crack too stop the possibiltiy of the crack expanding. then butt weld the entire crack and hole. (I said Butt and crack in the same sentence http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif ) then grind smooth, making sure you don't take too much metal off lessening the strength of the repair, then finish with filler if necessary.. This is how I was told too keep a crack from growing and too fill it. You can also if the metal is thin and you don't "trust" it, cut out a square around the crack as far as you feel comfortable and butt weld a patch panel in. either way should fix it. Good Luck..

To add to what normie said, before you weld the hole and the crack shut, take a high speed cut off wheel and V-groove the crack. This will allow the weld to build up thus providing more strengh. If you just weld it and then grind it with no V-groove you more then likey will remove to much of the weld leaving open the possibilitly of the crack showing itself later.
