Are all the body mounts from the firewall back the same thickness when new? Mine are so squashed I can't tell. I'm getting ready to lift the body off the frame and was planning to set it down on 6" long aluminum spacers I made to keep it aligned while I'm replacing the floors etc. I was going to get 6" longer bolts and bolt it back on the frame, that way I have room to work.

Bob, that's a hell of an idea.
The bushing kit I bought for my 65 didn't come with any indication that there were different sizes (with the obvious exception of the rad support bushings) and only had one thickness, so I think you're OK with your idea.

When I replaced mine, the replacements were all the same size, but I don't know if the originals were all the same.
I know the one below the door is different, but I don't know if the height is different. I DO know that the hole in the frame is smaller and required that the part of the bushing that fits throught the frame be carved down to fit through.
