I did a frame off on my 72, and had put the body back on the frame a long time ago. I recently got the assembly manual, but don't see anything in it about measurements as far as making sure the body is in the right place. Naturally, I measured side to side, but not 100% sure about front to rear. any good guidelines here to make sure I have it in the correct spot? Would be easy enough now to move it around since the shell is pretty much bare. Thanks for any info.

I've read that there is are line up holes on the body mount that is at the bottom of the firewall/toeboard. There is a hole on the body mount, that lines up with a hole on the frame mount. you slide a punch in through both mounts to get both front to back, and side to side placement.

That is correct!

Thanks for the info guys. Guess I'll have to go and check that before I do anything else.

when we did a 70 we only found two of those line up holes, both were on the drivers side, you can tell the holes because they round and have a slot thru it, kinda like looking at a silouhette of saturn. Jim
