When I turn on the wipers of my 68 malibu my driver side wiper goes too far down and scrapes the metal protector plate that runs accross the bottom of the window. This is a huge annoyance as it is scraping up the metal pretty good.

Also when I turn off the wipers the drivers side is left up on the window about 3 inches from where it should be when off. My passenger side rests exactly where it should.

Has anyone seen this before? It seems like the motor isnt moving back to the right position when the switch is turned off.

Any pointers or help is greatly appreciated.

It may be that someone has had them off and didnt line them up right
when they re-installed. I belive the inside of the wiper arm has splines
Maybe you could pop the arms off move drivers down a few and pass up a few?
