Hey guys....I want to get rid of the Kmart radio the previous owner of my 1969 Chevelle installed. Luckily he did not hack up the dash to get it in. The original opening is the same size as stock and the mounting towers for the knobs are intact. Does anyone know of a decent model of am/fm cassette (I don't think a cd player will fit...the stock opening is too narrow). I want to go with an in-dash model, not the "Secret Audio" system that is out there. I also do not want to cut the original dash in any way. Any help is appreciated!!

Custom Autosound makes some "lookalike" stereos that fit in the stock opening and have various configurations...i have the USA-5 which is AM?FM cassette with a trunk mounted 10 disc CD changer controlled by the head unitl...it's fair quality, but I helped it out with an Infinity 110w/channel amp and 4 3 way speakers.....It's about the only way to get better than AM radio sound w/o hackin the dash...
