: This is one fast car.

I have never even heard of these guys before but it seems like they can make one crazy fast car. I wish I was born into ridiculous amounts of money.
Olle Jun 30th, 05, 2:38 PM Strange... I subscribe to two Swedish car magazines, but haven't read much about this at all. Just seen the name mentioned a couple of times. Obviously, it's even in production.
troposcuba Jun 30th, 05, 3:12 PM wow, i like. think i could afford one on my military paycheck?

It says something about clyindrical intake, im guessing its some kind of iris instead of a butterfly.Pretty cool.
three85stroker Jun 30th, 05, 3:20 PM It says they broke the world speed record @ 388 kmh, but I've seen a video of a McLaren F1 doing 391 kmh. What gives?
71Sprint Jun 30th, 05, 3:55 PM I think that for it to be a record it has to be verified by whatever organization does that kind of stuff. And that McLaren would have to be in stock form as it was sold to be a production car record.
three85stroker Jun 30th, 05, 5:08 PM I know as a fact that the McLaren was bone stock.
71Sprint Jun 30th, 05, 5:12 PM It's probobly just a matter of what organization is involved if any.
I know that Saleen claims the S7 is the fastest production car as well but I think they make their claim on 1/4 mile times.
So pretty much there are ways to leave out data that makes you car seem inferior.
But reading deeper into the site this thing seems pretty damn potent. It has never even been top speed ran in a straight line. That speed was set on a circular track and had the steering wheel turned about 30* the whole time. And it's RPM's were under where it developes maximum power. I bet that thing could do some dammage given a good long straightaway.
K_Janisch Jun 30th, 05, 5:25 PM for the metrically challenged like me
The CCR claims the following
Acceleration 0-100 kph = 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds
Top speed of 395+ kph = 245+mph
Weight of 1180 kg = 2601 lbs
The new 06 Z06 weighs 3,130 lbs for comparison
The CCR makes 806 hp the Z06 makes 500 hp
CCR has 3.2 lbs per hp
Z06 has 6.3 lbs per hp
pdq67 Jun 30th, 05, 7:53 PM Ah heck,
I donno b/c I would take Ron and RJ's '69, Big Red 1 Camaro over it any day...
Might have ta put a tad bigger motor in it to top out higher if a 540"er or whatever it is won't already do it..
But then again, I like hotrodded early American Iron better personally!!

-SS454- Jun 30th, 05, 8:35 PM The way they actually calculate the top speed isnt just a matter of what a GPS link says for a half second. They calculate it over a timed distance i believe. The McLaren F1 officially had a top speed of 386.4 kph. So the CCR under the same test conditions, and same track, did infact beat it.
Bad Rat 414 Jul 1st, 05, 7:52 AM I was fipping the channels about two days ago and saw it on some show. I'm not sure which one it was the guy had a British accsent. He was driving it around what looked to be a runnway and he old got it up to 175 MPH, I think. He said something about breaking it's on record. The incar camera showed him sitting at what looked like a 45* angle and very cramped.

Me too
69boo307 Jul 1st, 05, 9:37 AM You should see the british Top Gear show episode where he flogs the Koenigsegg... it's AWSOME. That dude can drive the peepee out of anything with wheels. The Koenigsegg set their show's top speed record too, and they have tested basically every supercar there is. It even trumped the McLaren F1.
Thad Jul 1st, 05, 10:18 AM Its on some of the video games too.
Project Gothum Racing 2, and Forza Motorsports.
Sounds neat.
71Sprint Jul 1st, 05, 12:12 PM I'll have to say that Big Red is deffinantly an amazing car as well but there is just something about a complete disregard for value engineering and making something as bad ass as you can.
1badss396 Jul 1st, 05, 12:32 PM I think this one is cool too.
