Im picking up my first Chevelle tomorrow - yes I'm excited. I borrowed a friend car trailer, but it has welded on angle iron stakes approximately 16 inches high. The width between them is only 77" - Will a 67' fit between these rails or should I rent a different one? My local place has one thats 83" between the wheel wells and those are only 9" off the deck.
Thanks in advance.

My flat bed trailer is 84" between the fenders, and I have about 5" on each side for clearance when my 67 is loaded.

Thank you Dave! I've called in a reservation on the rental.

It should fit but you will either need to climb out the window or winch it on. Is it rated to haul the ammount of weight you are hauling? The "landscape" trailers are somewhat lighter from my observation.

Last march I picked up my 67 chevelle SS in Colorado to bring back to California, I rented a U-haul trailer oneway. I towed it with a 2004 Toyota 4-runner. Took me 23 hours thru some ice and snow. I was impressed with their trailers which have surge brakes and track really well. Not bad for a 1200 mile trip and a old 68 year old driver.

I ended up with an alluminum trailer from my local rental store - 83" between the fenders and had plenty of room. It was an easy tow with my 1500 Sierra. Thanks guys!
Okay we helped you, how about helping us by showing us some pics of your new velle? :)
