I just noticed that my car doesn't have the low-end snap that it did. Did some poking around and noticed some wear (carbon?) on the terminals inside the cap as well as the rotor. This is an MSD setup, which has about 1k miles on it. Is some carbon OK or no good? This cap and rotor has the brass terminals.
Thanks
Vince

Not necessarily good but pretty normal. You can either replace, kinda of soon if only 1000 miles, or scrape the corrision off. Scrape lightly so as not to gouge the metal.
If it's running smooth, not missing, it may not be related to performance.

Emory cloth works good for this application.
