Can anyone tell me what the relay is use for that is mounted on the under side of my dash directly behind the ashtray? I've seen this relay on a 70 Malibu dash and a 72 SS dash, disconnected of course. According to the schematics that I have, the TCS, A/C, and horn relays are all mounted in the engine compartment. I have no idea what this relay is. Thanks.

I may not actually be a relay. If has only two pins it could be either the seat belt ignition key warning buzzer. There are a couple of metal cans under there about 1 1/2" by 3/4" by 3/4".

If it has only 2 leads its not a relay. It must be the turn signal flasher. There is no relay there from the factory.

72s have a TCS (delay relay) mounted on the support bracket for the heat or heat A/C control head. 72s also have two warning buzzers, seat belt and key minder. None of these are found on 70s or 71s.
