I have a set of rear quarters that were cut from another car. They are in great shape. No rust. They are full quarters from the pillars to the door jambs to the tail light bezels. Would it be best to have as much as possible welded into the car or only replace the rusted wheel opening and lower quarter behind the wheel? It seems to me it would be harder to hide the seams if only a section is welded in instead of the full quarter. A body guy was telling to replace only whats needed, but I think he's looking for a quick job.
I don't plan to make a show car, but I would like a nice street machine. oh yea....it's gonna be black.

if your only going to use small pieces, buy patch panels or a repro skin. Dont cut up an original full quarter!

I wouldn't cut up the original quarter panels and only use a small piece. I'm wondering if it would better to weld in the full quarter or buy a patch and use that. By better, I mean a nicer finished product.
