'69, 2 door hardtop

Replacing most weatherstrips. Should roof rail be glued back in? It appears one side had black and one side had none. Various posts indicate some people put some 3M black, but several said to not use glue.

Thoughts?

I did not use any glue. The weather stripping stays put in the channel. It does however come out sometimes if I brush my head on it as I exit the car. Its not really a big deal to tuck it back up. I may glue it in place at a later time.

Flye. On my 66 I used 3M 8309. This stops water but does not glue.
