Can Anyone Please E-mail Me A Wiring Schematic That Include All The Gauges...everything I Have End At Circuit Board (not Showing What Color Wires Go To What) This Makes It Very Difficult To Trace , When You're Guessing What Wire Is For Ampmeter, For Instance. Please Respond Before I Slit My Wrists.thank You. Phil

I don't have a wiring schematic for a 71. What wires are you looking for and where. Is this a factory gauge car or a conversion? Heres some links on gauges and conversions.

For the clock, do you have power on the wire ( should be a 20g orange) and is the clock grounded? For the temp gauge do you have power at the sender? For the amp meter did you add the necessary wiring in the engine compartment?

Greg, Clock Has One Orange 20ga Wire But No Apparant Place For A Ground. The Temp Sender Has Power And Is Grounded To The Block Automaticly , However , I Have Not Grounded The Block Yet . Tryed Grounding The Block Temporarily , But, Still No Reading At The Gauge. The Ammeter Has The Extra Black And Black/white Wires , Nothing... So I Purchased An Externally Regulated Altinator And Regulator , Still Nothing. I Ordered A New Engine Harness For Gauges (72) Because (71) Does Not Specify (for Gauges Or Not). When That Comes In We'll See What Happends. Thanks ...later Phil

A 72 engine harness will not work on your 71! Better change the order, what you need is a 71 forward lamp harness. There are two harnesses under the hood, an engine harness and a forward lamp harness. For 70 and 71 the amp gauge wiring is in the forward lamp harness, the engine harness is the same for gauge or indicating light. For 72 the amp gauge wiring is in the engine harness. The are other differences in the 72 wiring vs. 70 71 wiring.
