I used electric-life on a 71 chevelle. It was super easy, the longest part was running the wiring so it couldn't be seen (that wasn't that hard. Also, on a 71 atleast, the old manual ones require tedious efforts to get them out, there is like a certain angle and they will fall right out. But, i'm 16 and i did all 4 windows in a weekend.

I installed them on my Elky. Really straight forward. Here's link for Electric-Life (A-1 Electrical) (http://www.a1electric.com/electriclifewind.htm) Hardest part was getting the old system out - but that was only about an hour on the first window and 10 minutes on the second. For testing, I used a Makita 9.2V battery to make sure everything was good before putting it on the car electrical. Running the wiring from door to body requires a grommet which A1 has I believe.

So which one of the kits did you guys use for your Chevelles? I like the idea of power windows in my car, but I do not want the cover on the door panel over the window crank. Did they have a kit that was replacement for the entire mechanism?

I used the GM90-K in my elky. Works great. Here's the webpage listing your application.

I have done the conversion on my 70 SS by purchasing a used original system. I have detailed pictures and I understand all the steps to install a factory system. I did mine just like the factory would have done it, with the correct relays and wiring. Too much to list online. Email me direct at stein@integrity.com and perhaps we can setup a phone conversation. Keep in mind I installed only the factory system. Contact me if needed, thanks Stein...
