I was looking for a good filler. Is evercoat the same as "allmetal filler" I got a can of Evercoat it has a pink label and is moisture resistance and kalvar reinforced, which I think it a type of metal shavings?

I need this stuff for the rear quarter right around where it connects to the rear deck panel. Wondering if this stuff will work well for this area. I was reading and hear that I need something with more strength/ flexability and moisture proof.

Evercoat's everglass gets my vote for being the most durable and moisture resistant. I haven't been too impressed with the allmetal stuff, in fact most all of the bodyshops across the UP "Michigan's Upper Peninsula" prefer everglass or Marson's Marglass for repairs where strength is needed. Allmetal was big up here when it first came out about twenty years ago but the stuff just faded away. I did some patchwork on a used truck years ago that I still see driving around town today--one side got everglass over the welds and the other side allmetal, the everglass side still looks good while the allmetal side started failing after two years. Granted the truck sees more road salt than average given the conditions up here but I was sold on everglass from that point on. To each their own, JMO, smile.gif Bob

Coooooool, I hate buying the wrong stuff. I am 95% done with my body work, VERY exciting times these are smile.gif almost ready to prime prep and paint. I heard little but good things about Everlast fillers, anything is better than bondo, its a good filler but with no resistance to moisture, and high potential to rott and crack, eh....
Sounds good though, thanks for the heads up on this stuff! graemlins/beers.gif
