Any one have or know where I could get plans to build a blast cabinet? Seems like I saw one in one of the mags a while back but I`m sure I dont have it anymore. Thanks Jim

I bought a nice large cabinet at Harbor Freight. They put it on sale for around $170 I think.

Check out Tip Tools - They have plans for blast cabinets as well as some very nice built ones.

I purchased a cheap one - sorry I did. Tip tools sells good priced ones that are so much nicer then mine.

Hope this helps.

77 cruiser,
I used the plans from TipTools and some of their parts. The rest I had around the garage or bought cheaper at the hardware store.

I use my shop vac as a dust collector otherwise you would not be able to see inside real well. I also put a small motorcycle air cleaner on the cabinet to keep the shop vac from getting pluggeed up so much.

The cabinet is the greatest! I use it pretty much every time I take something off or put something on one of the cars or bikes. My kids just love to see the parts go in looking like crap and come out all clean and shiney.

I keep a good supply of sand and glass beads around and some 7 gal plastic buckets for changing media quickly.

I also used the excess expanded metal to fashion up a small can to hold nuts, bolts and small stuff. (But you could probably use the basket from the Berryman gallon cans of carb dip just as well).

The only thing that I will change is that I would add a second light on the other side of the cabinet. Sometimes it gets a little hard to see.
