Can anyone tell me or better yet have photos of the correct positions of the possi and jack instruction decals on the underside of the trunk lid on a 70 Chevelle? Thanks for any replies.

They show this in the assembly manuals if by chance you have one. I don't have one for a '70 so can't help on that year.

Dale,

Check out the pics in my signature. One of the pics shows the inside of my deck lid and the sticker location. 69'.

The assembly manual say's either second indentation from left top or bottom and Brian's 69 is third indentation from left on bottom, maybe they were placed in different possitions at different plants? http://www.chevelles.com/forum/confused.gif Any other suggestions? Brian, beautiful 69! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/cool.gif

Dale,
Don't know if 70' is different from 69'. I'm sure you'll get some help on this either today or on Monday. Thanks for the thumbs-up! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

In the very next indentation next to the posi decal. (on the left) Check Dean's pic and you'll see. But seeing as I wasn't at the dealerships back then I can only use my sources, cars that I have seen and information from "CHEVELLE NUTS" I have known.

If you want to be honest, you need to take a run at it from across the garage and stick the stickers on the lid as you go by. THAT, is the way it was done at the factory. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Exactly!

I have photos of 3 '70 survivor Chevelles all built on the same assembly line within 3 weeks of each other. All 3 are mounted in different locations with one even smeared with glue behind the decal. This car is a frequenter of the Car Craft Nationals in St. Paul, MN and is a Cortez Zilver LS-6 for those of you who know which car I am talking about. They were assembly workers not watch makers. O.K. Guys, I put them on tonight and now I know what to tell the so called Chevelle perfectionist around here when they tell me there in the wrong spot. I really appreciate all the response and I'm satisfied were I have placed them. Jack instructions in second from the left lower and possi third from the left lower. Don't tell me it's wrong. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/tongue.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/cool.gif
