: Trunk Floor kits from Goodmark
Ryan T Nov 15th, 04, 8:10 PM Has anyone used the 7 piece trunk floor replacement kits from Goodmark. They are EPD coated. I am replacing the trunk floor on a 70 chevelle. Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks, in advance for your comments.
bljak64ss Nov 16th, 04, 2:21 AM No I haven't, but I was looking into the same, for my 64 chevelle. I hope someone will help us and that way we can both have nice cars like everyone else on the site. graemlins/beers.gif
66Broke Nov 16th, 04, 2:53 PM I used the 7 piece kit from Goodmark for my '66 Chevelle. Everything fit pretty good, I had to make a few adjustments to the dropoff panels (also from Goodmk) but otherwise went pretty good. I saw a friends panels from another supplier and they were thinner than Goodmark's. I was pretty happy overall.
540cutlaSS Nov 18th, 04, 12:25 AM I have a set (made in usa) 7 pc with braces. After I bought this kit I found a very solid donor car that I am going to use instead. So I will be returning these unless some wants to buy them from me. Might save some back order time. I waited about 2 months for mine. Email if interested.
csilkman Nov 18th, 04, 8:15 AM I bought the Goodmark full length floor pans, and 7 piece trunk kit from a guy off of ebay. In stock, very fast shipping, and a great price. I'll try and look up his name. I think they are great quality and very heavy. I would recommend them.
drdirtdog Nov 20th, 04, 10:45 AM I bought the 7 piece set from Goodmark. I called them and found they had a dealer in my area, it turned out to be the chevy dealership. What was good about that was I didn't have to pay shipping and they had the parts there in less than a week. You will have to save the parts off the old floor for the jack & spare tire it doesn't come with it. You might also have to buy the drop downs on the side's, and outer wheel house if it can't be saved.
70isfine Nov 20th, 04, 3:36 PM Rule of thumb. Most parts that are E-coated(black) are imports. Most parts that are bare steel are made in USA. I used the trunk floor kit from NPD for my 70. It was bare steel, made in USA and was very thick and had crisp stampings. Fit great. Not saying Goodmark is bad but i go for the US stampings when available. Most catalogs will list The US panels as 'show quality' and the imported as 'quality reproduction'.

I got a set of front floor panels that where maid in the usa they were unprimed, i was dissappointed that they didn't fit too well but i thought you have to play with them a little. I had to order rear panels also when i got them they were primed and marked import i placed them on the floor over the area to be replaced and they fit perfectly they even had the drain holes cut out and the stampings were crisper.I am thinking of sending the front panels back for imports.
